What we collect
SpotIn is designed to work with minimal data collection. We do not sell, share, or transfer any user data to third parties. All data stays on our own servers.
Anonymous analytics
We use Umami, a self-hosted analytics tool, to understand how people use SpotIn. Umami does not use cookies, does not collect personal information, and does not track users across websites. It records anonymous page views and interaction events (such as which competitions are filtered or which events are viewed). No IP addresses or device identifiers are stored.
Location data
When you allow location access, your device coordinates are used in-session to find nearby venues. We do not store your location on our servers. If you decline location access, we use your IP address to estimate your approximate city — this lookup happens locally on our server using a bundled database, and your IP address is not logged or stored.
Account data
If you create an account, we store your email address and display name. This data is used solely for authentication and is not shared with anyone. You can request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us.
Cookies
SpotIn does not use tracking cookies. If you create an account, a session cookie is used to keep you logged in. This is a strictly necessary cookie and does not require consent under GDPR.
Where your data is stored
All data is hosted on our own server in Europe (OVH, France). No data is sent to third-party cloud services.
Contact
For any questions about your data or to request deletion, contact us at privacy@spotin.it.
